Access to DALSC data

Collaboration
SFI welcomes any collaboration on DALSC data.

Survey data
Anonymous data from the first three waves (1996, 1999 and 2003) of the Danish and ethnic surveys in DALSC is available from the Danish State Archive (Dansk Data Arkiv, DDA). Researchers and students interested in using DALSC data should contact the DDA in order to acquire access to the data. DALSC data from DDA is available for free providing permission has been given by SFI.

SFI will normally send data to DDA after a period of approximately two years. Thus, data from the fourth wave of the survey is expected to reach DDA around the turn of the year 2009/2010.

If professional researchers would like access to DALSC data before they have been sent to DDA (or if they want data from SFI rather than from DDA), anonymous data is available at a fee of DDK 5,000 (+ VAT) per wave of the survey. Access to data requires that a project proposal be supplied to SFI, and that ongoing SFI research remains unaffected. Under normal circumstances, external access to data will not be granted until the principal report has been published. Link to DDA here.

Questions regarding access to DALSC data are to be directed to Mai Heide Ottosen at mho@sfi.dk.
