Research Programme
The Institute provides socially relevant research for political discussions and decisions concerning the renewal and development of the welfare society.
Current research and the enormous wealth of knowledge that the Institute has collected throughout the last 45 years is fundamental to the completion of projects commissioned by the State, regional and local authorities and private organisations.
Typically, projects are evaluations within specific social areas and measures. They include, e.g. barriers to education and work for young immigrants on welfare, the consequences of selling off public housing and the housing situation for low income groups, the effects of daycare for 0-5-years-olds, or unemployed women and their willingness to move or travel long distances to find work.
