Surveys linked to register data
CSSR has established a platform where researchers can gain easy access to combined survey and register data. The general idea behind this combined survey and register dataset is that survey information on each respondent is linked to register information at the individual level. Surveys based on information from firms or households are linked to firms or households, respectively.
CSSR Survey/Register Databank
CSSR has access to a large register database from Statistics Denmark which can be linked to CSSR’s surveys. This allows researchers from the CSSR network to access comprehensive amount of register data. The database contains micro data on all individuals in Denmark, covers the period from 1980 to 2011, and is updated annually. The information in the database covers areas such as:
• Work places
• Demographics
• Employment
• Housing
• Unemployment and labour market training
• Earnings
• Private finances
• Social conditions
• Education
• Crime
• Firms and business economics
Who can get access?
To use the linked CSSR survey-/register data, you need to be employed as a researcher at a CSSR member institution. You can also get access if you are involved in a joint project with CSSR researchers. Danish or international researchers who are affiliated with a CSSR research institution can access the data via their research associates in the CSSR research institution.
