Database on ageing now available

2012:04.30: What plans do we make for our old age, how much help do we need and how do our social relationships develop as we grow older? And how do these issues change as new generations become older? These are some of the subjects that can be investigated in the Danish Longitudinal Study of Ageing. The database contains information on retirement plans, social relationships and living conditions for some 10,000 Danes born from 1920 to 1955, and is now publicly available through Center for Survey and Survey Register Data, in which SFI is a partner.

Danish social research is a newsletter in English from SFI – The Danish National Centre for Social Research. The newsletter is published four times a year. The main focus is to inform researchers and research-institutions in other countries about the work of SFI to encourage international research collaboration.
